Had a great chat today with Bret. He has a wonderful, deep voice and…I almost wrote he has a great personality. It’s not like that. No really, he does. We made plans involving the NEA, a group of Illuminati, and NavPress. Wahahaha!

I’m reading his short story collection called The Difference Between Women and Men (one can be a deacon and the other can’t?)—surreal stories in a hyper-Hemmingway sort of…way. His novel Jewel is an Oprah book and his lastest novel is Ancient Highway. Can’t wait to read it!
